The FRESH-ECOPAVER project was in the spotlights on July 2.
A press visit took place on the Caen La Mer site: a 160 m² pedestrian walkway made of draining paving stones - developed in the ESITC Caen laboratory - was built. This walkway is situated next to the new sports hall, rue Basse in Caen. The press crew also visited the ESITC Caen research laboratory.
Eventually, these draining pavers will be deployed on other sites in France, in Paris or Alençon.
As a reminder, these paving stones are made of scallops and were designed to fight against Urban Heat Pockets (UHP).
