BATIVERTCOOP

Axis 1: Low environmental impact materials in their environments

La Coopération Agricole Ile-de-France, La Coopération Agricole Ouest, La Coopération Agricole, Cerema, Institut Polytechnique UniLaSalle, Builders Ecole d'ingénieurs, Guilde Sable Vert and BioBuild Concept have joined forces to develop biosourced products for the construction industry in the Normandy and Ile-de-France regions.

BATIVERTCOOP (2024 - 2026) : a project uniting transdisciplinary players in the Seine Valley

The aim of the project is to examine the opportunity of deploying new uses for bio-sourced materials in the building industry, by bringing together the available bio-resource and the building industry's expectations, and by bringing together the players in each sphere, in order to conclude on an interesting use and outline its business plan. The aim is to create a link and a market model between suppliers and users. That's what makes it so unique.

Project goals

The overall aim of the project is to prefigure a sustainable construction industry on the scale of the two regions, by creating a virtuous value chain from agricultural sourcing, through processing-manufacturing-application, to the end customer.

The general objectives of the consortium partners are to propose to the socio-economic players in the Seine Valley, and ultimately to the project owners, a selected scenario that offers guarantees of operational development, and to achieve this by aiming for :

  • Economic performance, by defining a business plan that will result from the proposed support and
between upstream agricultural and downstream industrial players,
  • Technical and environmental performances, in line with current regulatory requirements and regional dynamics (in particular, regional ambitions for bio-sourced products/low environmental impact), by
by drawing on the expertise of construction research and innovation laboratories to scientifically validate
each stage of the project, and thus its feasibility,
  • Social and societal performances, by integrating into the decision-making process a panel representative of the ecosystem to be
ecosystem to be set up - with a focus on priority target groups - and by proposing specific initiatives to
strengthen the link between project leaders and public players.

Fundings

This project has been made possible thanks to financial support from ADEME, the Normandy Region and the Ile-de-France Region via the CPIER Vallée de la Seine - édition 2024 (Seine Valley CPIER - 2024 edition), each providing 50% of the total amount, i.e. around 278,000 euros.
