Our draining eco-pavement, developed in our research laboratories, was chosen as the material for the refurbishment of Place Foch in Wimereux. 

Made from shellfish co-products, this paving stone naturally filters water. 

The paving stone was designed and patented by ESITC Caen's joint laboratory.

The water filtered by the draining eco-pavement feeds an infiltration basin. 

This water can be recovered and 80% pre-treated. 

This is not the first time that the recycling of materials and co-products has been carried out at ESITC Caen. 

The research laboratory carries out numerous research projects linked to construction and materials recycling, such as the SB&WRC project.
